​1 lb. Diced smoked pork shoulder (see next recipe)

1.5 lb ground chuck

1/2 cup oil

1cup sofrito (recipe separate) or just buy it

1 diced orange bell pepper

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

2 cups diced tomato

1 packet Sazon with saffron

1/2 tsp smoked paprika 

2 oz Mexican chocolate

1 dried habanero whole

1/2 cup dark beer

16oz frijoles negros


Place smoked pork and beef in multi cooker with oil and sofrito and sauté until browned. Add the tomato, bell pepper, beer, spices and pressure cook on high for 5 minutes. Once steam is released, add chocolate, dried habanero and cook for 2-3 hours on slow cook. Add the beans with a few minutes to go. Salt and pepper to taste. 

Top with grated queso fresco, cilantro, and serve alone or over your grain of choice
