Wine braised deer roast

Bambi keeps bringing goodness!

1 2lb deer roast
2T. butter
3cups cheap red wine
2T. garlic
1 onion, quartered
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 cup baby carrots
1/4cup chopped parsley
2T. raw sugar
1T. balsamic

Brown the deer in a frying pan on all sides with the butter and garlic. Transfer to crock pot.  Add onion, celery and carrots and cook on high for 90 minutes. Add wine, parsley, sugar, and balsamic and cook on high for 5 hours, occasionally flipping roast.

Serve over taters!
